Steider Studios

Linda is a full-time artist and photographer. Her days are spent in the studio or outdoors in nature looking for wildlife, beautiful landscapes or sometimes just inspiration to take back to her studio.
“I have a passion for photographing birds in flight and wildlife in general. I’ve been taking pictures since receiving a camera for my tenth birthday and over the last five years have become serious about my photography.

I am fortunate to live in the Columbia River Gorge where I watch several Osprey nests and look for Sandhill Cranes during spring and summer. I watch for returning Bald Eagles in the fall; and herons, ravens, hawks and vultures all year. I keep a garden filled with plants to attract songbirds, bees and butterflies, that provide me with ample photo opportunities.

Art Glass

“My kiln-formed art glass is created using a painterly approach, primarily with powdered glass. I use iridescent glass for sparkle in my glass bowls that make a beautiful statement in your home. My art glass jewelry is fun to wear and adorns your soul. I like incorporating organic lines inspired by nature, drawn with 22k gold. A perfectionist, I will rework a design until I’m proud to present it to you. Browse through my work and make your purchases knowing you will receive quality, well executed original designs.
A fiber artist for 20 years, I met kiln-formed (also called fused) glass in 1995 and fell in love. After finally catching up a three year backlog of commission work I sold my fiber studio to concentrate on glass full time in ’98.
